Finnish Foreign Minister to Start Visit to Russia on Monday

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 11th February, 2019) Finland's Foreign Minister Timo Soini will begin his visit to Russia on Monday, during which he is expected to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

The talks, which will be held on Tuesday, will focus on the situation in the Council of Europe as Moscow has canceled part of its annual payment to the organization over disagreements, particularly with its Parliamentary Assembly (PACE).

The ministers will also discuss regional security issues, arms control as well bilateral relations and regional cooperation in the Arctic Council.
