WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 26th March, 2019) US Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team asked a Federal judge to reject Russian firm Concord Management and Consulting's request for additional details and a bill of particulars on indictments over election meddling, court documents revealed.
"Concord's demand for additional information about the particular methods and tools used by the conspirators amounts to an impermissible preview of the government's 'evidence' and of the means by which the government will prove its case," the prosecutors said in the document released on Monday.
In a court filing earlier this month, Concord's defense team urged a US court to direct Mueller to provide the defense with a bill of particulars explaining the allegations against the firm.
Mueller indicted Concord Management and others as part of his investigation into allegations of Russian meddling in the 2016 US election.
Russia has repeatedly refuted the claims of meddling in US elections, saying the allegations are absurd and intended to deflect public attention from actual instances of election fraud and corruption as well as other pressing domestic issues.
