Patriarch Kirill To Visit Strasbourg, Meet With CoE Leaders - Russian Orthodox Church

Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia will visit Strasbourg on May 25-27, where he will consecrate the Church of All Saints and meet with the leadership of the Council of Europe, Priest Alexander Volkov, the spokesman for the Russian Orthodox Church leader, told Sputnik on Wednesday
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd May, 2019) Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia will visit Strasbourg on May 25-27, where he will consecrate the Church of All Saints and meet with the leadership of the Council of Europe, Priest Alexander Volkov, the spokesman for the Russian Orthodox Church leader, told Sputnik on Wednesday.
Volkov said the Church of All Saints in Strasbourg would be consecrated on May 26.
"This is a long-awaited and joyful event for the parishioners of the Russian Orthodox Church in France, the church was built for years and its great consecration will become a new stage in the life of the Orthodox community in France. During the visit, meetings of the head of the Russian Church with representatives of the Roman Catholic Church and with the leadership of the Council of Europe are also planned," he said.
In 2007, previous Russian Patriarch Alexy II visited Strasbourg.
