VLADIVOSTOK (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 25th April, 2019) Russian President Vladimir Putin's helicopter has landed on a helipad near the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) on the Russky Island, where the Russian president is set to hold the first-ever summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un later on Thursday, a Sputnik correspondent reported from the scene.
The police closed off the road leading to the helipad. It is expected that the Russian president will proceed to the campus, which will be the venue of his talks with Kim, by a motorcade.
Kim arrived at the Russian Far Eastern city on Wednesday by train. After taking part in a welcoming ceremony, he left for the FEFU campus, where he is staying in one of the hotel buildings.
