Putin Leaves Austrian Foreign Ministers Wedding For Talks With Merkel - Reports

Russian President Vladimir Putin left the wedding of Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl on Saturday in the southern Austrian state of Styria in order to attend talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, local media reported.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th August, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin left the wedding of Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl on Saturday in the southern Austrian state of Styria in order to attend talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, local media reported.
Putin has written a wish on the car of the newlyweds and warmly bid farewell in German to the guests of the wedding, the Oe24 broadcaster reported.
The president is expected to depart from the airport in the city of Graz to Berlin, where he is set to meet with Merkel for the talks. The sides will discuss the Syrian and Ukrainian crises, as well as bilateral ties and US economic sanctions.
Kneissl has married businessman Wolfgang Meilinger at a ceremony at the local Gasthaus Tscheppe restaurant. The Russian leader was invited by Kneissl to be present at the event during his latest visit to Vienna on June 5.
