Trump Considers Arming Teachers After Shooting Tragedy

Washington, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Feb, 2018 ) :US President Donald Trump said Wednesday he would consider allowing teachers to be armed to prevent a repeat of the latest mass shooting at an American high school.

In an emotional meeting with students from Florida's Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School at the White House, the president floated the idea that some teachers could be trained in the use of firearms as a deterrent to would-be gunmen.

"This would only be obviously for people who are very adept at handling a gun," said Trump. "It's called concealed carry. Where a teacher would have a concealed gun on them, they would go for special training and they would be there, and you would no longer have a gun-free zone." "A gun-free zone, to a maniac, because they are all cowards, a gun-free zone is let's go in and let's attack."
