WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th October, 2018) A US Federal judge in the state of Virginia has set a February 8 sentencing date for former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort in connection to bank and tax fraud charges, media reported on Friday.
US Judge T.S.
Ellis set February 8, 2019 as the date for Manafort's sentencing for his convictions on eight bank and tax fraud charges, the Washington Post reported.
The report added that Robert Mueller's Special Counsel Office has agreed to dismiss 10 counts against Manafort that were deadlocked by the jury.
The move is reportedly part of Manafort's agreement to share information related to Mueller's probe into the 2016 presidential election. Manafort was convicted in August 2018 in his Virginia trial on eight charges of tax evasion and bank fraud.
