UAE Has Prioritised Happiness: Amal Al Qubaisi

ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 19th Mar, 2019) Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council, FNC, stated that the happiness of the UAE people was and will remain a priority of the wise leadership, which is advancing the nation and improving the welfare of its citizens.
The UAE is looking forward to the future with the spirit of trust between its people and leadership, as well as with optimism, innovation, and a clear future vision that carries the message of tolerance and peace, she added.
Al Qubaisi pointed out that the concept of happiness is reflected by the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to make the happiness of the country’s citizens the ultimate priority, as well as the directives of his brother, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their brothers, Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, to ensure that government policies, programmes and services must create a positive and happy community, prepare the appropriate environment, and establish positivity as an essential value of the UAE community while noting that the UAE has succeeded in making happiness a lifestyle.
In her statement on the occasion of the annual "International Day of Happiness," which will take place on 20th March, she added that the wise leadership has prioritised the spread of happiness and established its pillars on various levels while noting that the "National Programme for Happiness and Positivity" is a roadmap for supporting government authorities in developing programmes and projects that will answer the directives and visions of the wise leadership.
She further added that during the International Day of Happiness, the UAE will highlight its stature as an international destination for happiness and positivity while affirming that the UAE leads the world in making its citizens, residents and visitors happy, and noting annual surveys that point out that Arab youths aspire to live in the UAE.
Dr. Al Qubaisi affirmed that the UAE, which has maintained the first place in the Arab world for the fourth consecutive year in the happiness index, is a nation of happy citizens and residents, despite their various religions, nationalities and races while pointing out that the UAE has ranked in the 19th place internationally in the happiness of residents index between 2005 and 2019, surpassing many European countries.
She also explained that the UAE is one of the leading countries that has allocated a day for happiness.
Dr. Al Qubaisi affirmed that the UAE has made happiness of its people part of its development since its establishment, as the Founding Leader, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, was keen to make its people happy.
The UAE has adopted happiness standards and strategic plans, through creating the Ministry for Happiness and launching the development strategy and economic vision for 2030, she said in conclusion.
