ECP Delegation Visits Police Offices

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th August, 2016) : The officers of Mid-Career Management from Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday visited the Central Police Office (CPO) here and were briefed about the functioning of various police departments and steps being taken for effective policing.
The ECP delegation was led by Assistant Director General Nighat Siddique while Inspector General of Islamabad Police Tariq Masood Yasin presided over the session held to brief about functioning of police department.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (Headquarters) Muhammad Khalid Khatak, AIG Nisar Ahmed Tanoli, SP (Safe City) Aamir Khan Niazi and other police officials were also present on the occasion. AIG Nisar Ahmed Tanoli and SP Safe City Aamir Khan Niazi briefed the delegation about security measures, crime prevention strategy, various aspects of safe city project and overall performance of Islamabad police.
IGP Islamabad answered various questions raised by members of delegation and said Islamabad police was very much prepared to maintain law and order situation in the city.
He said cameras installed at various points under safe city project were helpful to prevent crime in the city. The police chief said a project with the name of `Islamabad Police Communication System' had been launched for Islamabad police which was the first step towards smart policing.
He said this system had been made operational and hoped for a further positive change in the attitude of policemen in the coming days. Tariq Masood said civil servants should work devotedly for better services to public. The delegation appreciated the efforts of Islamabad police towards accomplishing their responsibilities and thanked for holding a detailed briefing session.
