The brave woman kept a smile on her face despite the tragedy.

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th March, 2019) Pakistani origin New Zealand national Ambreen Naeem, who lost her husband Naeem Rashid and son Talha Naeem in the Christchurch attack, has set a new example of courage after she gave a heartfelt tv interview.

Speaking in a TV talk show, Ambreen said that she felt pity for the Christchurch attacker, who killed fifty people, including her husband and son last Friday.

Ambreen Naeem said she felt sorry for the attacker because he had hate in his heart.

She said that she had got married to Naeem in 1996 and had her first child Talha nine months after marriage. She said that it was the most beautiful time of her life.

She said while the terrorist had hate in his heart, her husband Naeem Rashid and son had a heart full of love so they sacrificed their lives to save others.

According to eyewitnesses, Naeem Rashid risked his life to save others and tried to tackle the shooter. He can also be seen doing so in a video of the attack at the Al Noor mosque.

When the journalist asked if she would visit that mosque again, she said that she definitely will as the incident made her even stronger.

The brave woman kept a smile on her face despite the tragedy.

The journalist was so impressed by Ambreen that she fell into tears.

New Zealand was struck by two deadly attacks in Christchurch on Friday, with 50 people killed and another 20 seriously injured after gun assaults on mosques as Muslims worshipped.

A total of nine Pakistanis were martyred in the attack.

Naeem Rashid was injured in his bid to overpower the attacker and passed away on Saturday after succumbing to his injuries. His son, 22-year-old Talha Naeem, a civil engineering graduate, was among those who lost their lives in the shooting.

The Pakistani man is being hailed as a hero in Pakistan and abroad for courageously resisting terrorist Brenton Tarrant as he opened fire indiscriminately at worshippers in New Zealand's mosque during Friday prayers.
