Initial Construction Work On Kashmir Bridge Underpass Started

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Nov, 2018 ) ::The initial work on construction of Kashmir Bridge Underpass at canal road with an estimated cost of Rs 1.28 billion has been started under Punjab Government Mega Development Project.
The further financial and administrative measures are being taken to complete the project.
FDA Chief Engineer Asghar Ali while briefing Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saifullah Dogar about the project said the contract of construction of underpass has been given to NLC which will complete it till end of next year.
He said that an amount of Rs 100 million has been allocated for construction of underpass in 2017-18 and now a sum of Rs 230 million has been earmarked for 2018-19 of which funds Rs 112.
9 million has been released.
Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saifullah Dogar directed for finalizing all arrangements in connection with construction of the underpass to avoid difficulties to the people. He also directed for chalking out traffic management plan.
He said that this is very important project for maintaining smooth flow of traffic on canal road.
Meanwhile, Chairman All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association Engr Rizwan Ashraf and Regional Chairman Habib Ahmed Gujjar have demanded the government to complete the project within 6-month time period.
