KP Governor Emphasizes On Importance Of Training Courses

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Nov, 2016 ) : The participants of the 2nd Junior Command Course called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra here at Governor House on Friday.
The Governor on the occasion distributed certificates amongst the successful participants of the course. Addressing the participants, the Governor emphasized on the importance of training in capacity building of officers.
He appreciated the efforts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and IGP Nasir Khan Durrani in revolutionizing the KP Police within a short span of time. It is worth mentioning here that as part of its capacity building efforts, KP police have linked up promotion to different ranks with different types of trainings.
Junior Command Course was therefore, initiated and made mandatory for officers in the rank of DSP for promotion to next higher grade. The Junior Command Course is being conducted by Pakistan Provincial Services academy, Peshawar.
A batch of 25 officers successfully qualified 1st Junior Command Course last year and all of them have been promoted to next higher rank. Besides police related subjects, the modules of the three months long course includes, management concepts, policing concepts, leadership, media and crises management.
