
Minister Orders To Monitor Embankments Of Nullahs

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th july, 2016) : Punjab Minister for Zakat and Usher Nadeem Kamran on Friday directed the irrigation department to fill gaps in nullah Aik and Daik, and monitored their protective embankments. He expressed these views while addressing the meeting of Cabinet Committee on Flood at the DCO's Office. He handed over 25 new d-watering sets to TMA and directed to pump out stagnant water from affected areas. He directed officials of provincial highway department to take appropriate measures in tehsil Pasrur and make roads useable for public after the flood.
He ordered the district administration to arranged food and clean drinking water for flood victims besides fooder for animals. DCO Dr Asif Tufail breifed the meeting that flood relief camps had been established in affected areas and many people besides animals were rescued. PML-N MPAs Manshaullah Butt, Chaudhary Muhammad Akraam, Commissioner Muhammad Asif and others attended the meeting. Meanwhile, Minister for Zakat and Usher Nadeem Kamran visited flood-hit areas.
