NA Body Expresses Reservation Over Sector E-12's Non-developemnt

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jan, 2017 ) : National Assembly Standing Committee on Government Assurances Thursday expressed serious reservation over non-development of Sector E-12 by Capital Development Authority (CDA) despite lapse of 26 years.
The committee was met under the chairmanship of Muhammad Afzal Khokhar. Members National Assembly Abdul Majeed Khan Khanan Khail, Sardar Muhammad Irfan Dogar, Chaudhary Muhammad Munir Azhar, Malik Abrar Ahmed, Rajab Ali Khan Baloch, Shafqat Hussain Jilani, Shafqat Mehmood and Moulana Muhammad Khan Sherani also attended the meeting.
Chairman committee Muhammad Afzal Khokhar said,"The CDA's performance is very poor regarding the issue as people of the sector are suffering from last 26 years, official are just wasting the time, stern action should be taken against the responsible as soon as possible." He directed to form a committee consisting three CDA's official including Deputy Mayor, Abdul Majeed Khanan Khail would convene the committee, Sardar Muhammad Irfan Dogar and Malik Ibrar Ahmed would be the member of the committee.
He asked the CDA official to report within 15 days.
Sher Akbar Khan said, "People of the sector have been allotted plots from many year but they are not getting possession which is unfair." The CDA official told that,"The 80% people of the sector have got the compensation and the rest would get soon, we are trying to resolve the issue with contribution of notable person of the sector." The committee directed NADRA to verify Afghan refugees and issue them identity cards and called secretary for interior and Chairman NADRA in next meeting to discuss the issues of registration of illegal refugees living in the suberb of Karachi.
Chief Commissioner of Afghan Refugees Dr Imran Zeb told that,"The 101.2 million Afghan refugees have been registered so far and the rest would be registered soon." He said, "At zonal level 92 committees have been formed for this process, in six months verification process would be finished." The Ministry of Information, Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the Council of Islamic Ideology mutually decided to publish only translation of Quranic Verses with proper care and respect.
