Pakistan Academy For Letters Participates In Tree Plantation Campaign

On the directives of the Director General (DG) Pakistan Academy for Letters (PAL), Rashid Hameed, the academy is fully participating in tree plantation under Green Pakistan Programme.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Sep, 2018 ) :On the directives of the Director General (DG) Pakistan Academy for Letters (PAL), Rashid Hameed, the academy is fully participating in tree plantation under Green Pakistan Programme.
In this connection, a delegation headed by Assistant Resident Director, Khan Badshah Nusrat and comprising of poets and writers included Professor Sattar Khan Lowagari, Amjad Ali Khadim, Jamal Hussain Akbar, Rifatullah Rifat, Mohammad Ali Sabir and Salahuddin etc visited Hayatabad township.
They beside, planting a sapling in the premises of the under-construction building also planted saplings of different kind in other locations of Hayatabad to put their share in the success of the Green Pakistan Movement.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Dr Sattar Khan Lowagari said that the establishment of smoke emitting factories and unabated cutting of trees has today confrontedPakistan with environmental and climate change challenges, whose prevention isonly in the plantation of maximum trees.
