Pakistanis extend heartfelt wishes to Hindu community on Holi

Several Pakistani politicians, cricketers and celebrities took to Twitter to wish Hindus on their religious festival. 

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th March, 2019) The Hindu community is celebrating their religious festival Holi in Pakistan and around the world today.

Holi is one of the two major Hindu festivals, which is also called the "festival of colours" or the "festival of love".

It signifies the arrival of spring and victory of good over evil.

Philosophically, it is also called a festive of forget and forgive and of repairing broken relationships.

Pakistanis are extending their good wishes to the Hindu community on the occasion.

The Hindu community on Monday announced to celebrate Holi festival in a simple manner due to Friday's attack at Mosques in New Zealand, resulting in death of at least 50.

"The decision has been taken to show solidarity with the bereaved families of the Christchurch attack", President Hindu Pancait said.

The community has also suspended a yearly celebrated Holi festival at the Sindh Assembly building.
