SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jan, 2017 ) : A number steps are being taken to reform the Punjab Police Department and improve its ability to combat crime with the help of information technology, digitalising its manual functions that have become obsolete and useless.
This was stated by the District Police Officer (DPO) Sohail Chaudhry, while addressing the participants in POLCOM training workshop, organised here in collaboration with Information Technology Department at CPO office Lahore.
The DPO said that a software had been introduced at police stations for computerisation of record and criminal tracking system (CRO) with the help of Punjab Information Technology board.
