Punjab Commission For Women Rights Introduces Helpline Against Harassment On Social Media

Punjab Commission for Women Rights and Federal Investigation Agency(FIA) have introduced a free helpline for women to register their complaints against harassment on social media.
The women can record their complaints through this facility and those allegedly involved in harassing through Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and Twitter etc would be taken to task as per law of the land..
As per details provided by Punjab Commission on Women Rights, the FIA has launched a free helpline ( 1043) to help protect the women segment from harassment.
The illegal approach to the personal data through social media would be fined Rs.0.5 million and 6 month's imprisonment.
The helpline would be answered by fully trained female support workers and volunteers,who would reply the complaint's call in confidence.
All calls to the women harassment on social media would be free from mobiles and landlines from 24/7,said an official of Punjab Commission for Women Rights.
