
Rain-thundershower Likely To Lash At Scattered Places

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th july,2016) : Rain-thunderstorm with isolated heavy falls are expected at a number of places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal divisions, KP, Islamabad, FATA and Kashmir.
Downpour is also likely at scattered places in Bahawalpur, D.G khan, Multan, Zhob, Kalat, Nasirabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan. Light rain is also forecasted along Sindh-Makran coast. Seasonal low lies over northeast-Balochistan and its adjoining area, with its trough extending south eastward.
Good monsoon currents are penetrating over upper and central parts of the country. A westerly wave is also affecting upper parts of the country and is likely to persist for next 02 to 03 days, an official of Met office told APP.
In last 24 hours rain-thunderstorm occurred at number of places in upper Punjab, KP, Islamabad, FATA and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Balochistan.
Rainfall recorded during this time span was Gujrat 135mm, Sialkot (Cantt 100mm, A/P 79mm), Gujranwala 99mm, Islamabad (Golra 69mm, Z.P 56mm, Bokra 35mm, Saidpur 23mm), Jhelum 69mm, Kakul 90mm, Rawalpindi (Chaklala 69mm, Shamsabad 58mm), Mangla 66mm, Joharabad 54mm, Sargodha 47mm, Chakwal 43mm, Muree 42mm, Mandibahauddin 40mm, Khanpur 01mm, Kakul 90mm, Malamjabba 44mm, Risalpur 21mm, Cherat 19mm, Pattan 18, Peshawar 10, Saidu Sharif 09, Dir, Balakot 08, Parachinar 05mm Kotli 77mm, Rawalakot 19mm, Garidupatta 05mm, Muzaffarabad 02mm, Panjgur 10mm and Khuzdar 02mm.
