Scuffle Injures Nine Workers In Hafizabad

A scuffle between the activists of PTI and PML-N resulted in injuries to nine activists who were shifted to the Trauma Centre here.
HAFIZABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jul, 2018 ) -:A scuffle between the activists of PTI and PML-N resulted in injuries to nine activists who were shifted to the Trauma Centre here.
According to police source, the incident took place due to slogan mongering between rival activists of the two parties.
According to eye witnesses, a corner meeting of PML-N candidate for PP-70 was progressing at chowk Farooq-i-Azam at about 2 am when dozens of vehicles of PTI led by district PTI leader Ch. Mehdi Hassan Bhatti and activists arrived at the premises, raised slogans against the PML-N and Dr Muzaffar. In retaliation, PML-N workers also raised slogans against the PTI.
PTI activists stormed into central office/hospital of Dr Muzaffar Ali Sheikh, damaged LCD, laptop, CCTV camera and other hospital equipments and hit workers of PML-N with clubs chairs and kicks.
Nine workers including Naveed, Muhammad Zeeshan, Irshadullah, Ibrar Shah, Muhammad Umar, Muhammad Azam, Abdul Mannan, Muhammad Salman and Muhammad Arshad sustained injuries and were shifted to the Trauma Centre.
The raiders also tortured two shopkeepers and damaged the shop of Muhammad Salman and Muhammad Arshad. The PML-N local leaders have strongly condemned blatant acts of PTI activists and called upon the administration to take stern action against the violators of law so as to prevent recurrence of such ugly incidents.
The police arrived at the scene of incident about an hour later and started investigation. No arrest was made till filing of this report.
