Zone-VI Beats Zone-II

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th july, 2016) : Zone-VI defeated Zone-II by 8 wickets at TMC Ground and Zone-VI got 6 points in PCB Regional Inter-District Senior (Karachi Region) 2016-17 on last day of the 3-day match. Despite outstanding performance by team Zone-II on 3rd day of the 3-day match, it could not win because of its poor performance in last match played on 2nd day of the 3-day match where it was bowled out at 79 runs in 40.3 overs as compared to today's 290 runs for 6 wickets in 83 overs.
Shiraz Ali blasted 98 off 162 not out with the aid of 2 fours and 4 sixes and Rao Waqar 64 runs.
Faraz Ahmed Khan took 3 wickets for 87 runs and Noor Wali 2 wickets for 50 runs. On 2nd day, it made 79 runs all out in 40.3 overs. Zone-VI showed better performance on the 3rd day as it did on 2nd day were it made 181 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 39.2 overs. On the 3rd day, it made 193 all out in 72.2 overs.
Usman Khan crashed 41 runs with 6 fours and Faraz Ahmed Khan 30 runs with 5 fours. Mohammad Asad (SLA) took 5 wickets for 4 and Wajid Saleem (SLA) 3 wickets for 66 runs.
