PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2019 ) :Adviser to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science and Technology and Information Technology Kamran Bangash urged upon the youth to take active part in healthy sports activities and termed sports as vital for character building and help establishing a healthy society.
Talking to APP, Kamran Bangash said that the government is fully focusing on ensuring due facilities to the youth because the youth voted them. He said all resources would be utilized to provide much updated facilities to the youth associated with various games.
He said youth were the future builders of the nation and that was why government was very keen to had more and more sports activities for the youth at school, college and university levels.
He said, a child's involvement in sport helps them to improve their social interaction, increase their confidence, and improve their listening skills and health. Participation in sport was linked to higher grades, lower dropout rate, reduced truancy and lower crime rates, Kamran Bangash added.
When students were physically fit, they will achieve more academically, he said, adding "Sport develops a sense of friendliness among the children and develop their team spirit and mental and physical toughness.
He said Sports lead to a well-balanced mental and physical growth and tones up muscles and strengthens bones. He said sensing the importance of sports it is PTI govt for taking steps and ensuring playing field facilities at Tehsil, District level. He said sports builds healthy bones and muscles, increases fitness, improves sleep, helps them socialize, improves their cooperation skills, boosts self-confidence and lowers the risk of getting obese.
Earlier, Kamran Bangash formally inaugurated the Ramazan Night Twenty20 cricket Cup in PK-77 wherein 30 different teams are taking part. Kamran Bangash also distributed kits and playing gears among the participating teams and assured them more facilities in future. The final of the Twenty20 Cup will be played on 27th Ramazan. Local leaders including Majid Awan, Zubair Ahmad Qurashi, Arshad Advocate and Usman Khan were also present.
