MOL Pakistan Beats OGDCL To Lift OGCC T20 Cricket Tournament 2018/19

In a thriller of a match played between the cricket teams of MOL Pakistan and OGDCL here at the Diamond Cricket Ground, in Islamabad, MOL Pakistan outperformed OGDCL to lift the winning trophy of the Oil & Gas T20 Cricket Tournament 2018/19
ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th February, 2019) In a thriller of a match played between the cricket teams of MOL Pakistan and OGDCL here at the Diamond Cricket Ground, in Islamabad, MOL Pakistan outperformed OGDCL to lift the winning trophy of the Oil & Gas T20 Cricket Tournament 2018/19.
MOL Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Zarak Khan scored a big 73 when his team was 4 down over just 12 runs. He hit 7 boundaries, 4 huge sixes in his innings. Huzaif Shah contributed as well with an additional 36 runs that included 4 boundaries.
MOL Pakistan made a total of 153 all-out in 20 overs. Yahya of OGDCL bagged 3 wickets for 22 runs and Tariq got 2 for 22 runs. OGDCL’s start was not very impressive as the opener got out without any score.
Jamshed Akbar then took the responsibility and contributed precious 66 runs for his team but his unbeaten innings couldn’t support enough to win the final. Resultantly, OGDCL fell short of 10 runs as it scored 143 runs for 7 in twenty overs.
Wasim Akram of OGDCL contributed with his 31 runs.
Haris Nisar from MOL Pakistan bowled out 4 for 26 runs. The match was witnessed by a large number of audience, including families of all the participating teams of the tournament including MOL Pakistan, OGDCL, POL, MPCL, OPL, APL, Weatherford, POGC, Sprint and FFC.
Mr. Zahid Mir - MD/CEO OGDCL and Mr. Andras Madi - DMD/CFO MOL Pakistan witnessed the action-packed final and supported their respective teams. MOL Pakistan’s skipper Irfan Khan received the winning trophy and a cash prize of Rs 100,000/- from the chief guests.
Haris Nisar of MOL Pakistan was declared Man-of-the-Match while Huzaif Shah of MOL Pakistan was declared the Best Fielder. The MOL Group Regional Vice President Middle East, Africa & Pakistan, Mr.
Ali Murtaza Abbas commenting on the company win, stated, “MOL Pakistan consists of a team of people that are winners in all walks of life. We are proud that we have again come at the top and maintain our promise that we shall always do our very best in whatever we undertake”.
