Subh-e-Nau Ladies National Tennis Tournament will be played here at Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Tennis Courts from September 23.
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Sep, 2018 ) :Subh-e-Nau Ladies National Tennis Tournament will be played here at Pakistan Sports board (PSB) Tennis Courts from September 23.
According to Chairperson Subh-e-Nau Shahida Kausar Farooq this event aims at promotion of women sports in the country, said a press release issued here.
"This tournament will encourage new female players to come forward and take part in competitive tennis events," she said and added the event will conclude on September 27.
She said the categories to be contested in the event Ladies Singles, Ladies Doubles and Girls Juniors Under-18.
"The prize money of the event will be Rs 250,000 while outstation players will also be given daily allowances. Juniors' players will also receive economy class train fares as per Pakistan Tennis Federation rules," she said.
Mrs. Farooq also announced that there will be a special category for media persons in the event where players from different tv Channels, Newspapers and news Agencies could take part and show their skills.
"The interested players can send their entries to tournament Referee Shahzad AkhtarAlvi or at Subh-e-Nau office. The Last date for the sending entries is September22," she said.
