The Desert Night Run At Al Marmoom Takes Place This Wednesday

DUBAI (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th March, 2019) The Desert Night Run at Al Marmoom is back! Supported by the Dubai Sports Council and the Emirates Environmental Group, the second in a two-part series is taking place on Wednesday, March 13.

The Run is open to runners of all levels and participants can choose from the 2.5km, 5km or 10km run. The Desert Night Run at Al Marmoom promises to be a competitive and family-friendly event, and all runners will receive participation medals. The top three finishers in each group will be awarded at the awards ceremony.

In a new initiative, the run is supported by Emirates Environment Group, an NGO dedicated to protecting the environment through the means of education, action programmes and community involvement.

Perfect for those who like to exercise outdoors, Al Marmoom Reserve spans more than 40 hectares of shrub land and is home to hundreds of species of animals and birds, both native and migratory, including 500 large flamingos. This event gives runners and fitness enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy the views in a unique setting at night.
