Almost 2,000 Refugees Return To Syria From Abroad Over Past 24 Hours - Refugee Center

Over 1,930 refugees have returned to Syria from abroad over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for the Reception, Allocation and Accommodation of Refugees said Saturday.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 08th December, 2018) : Over 1,930 refugees have returned to Syria from abroad over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for the Reception, Allocation and Accommodation of Refugees said Saturday.
"Over the past day, a total of 1,938 people returned to the Syrian Arab Republic from the territory of foreign states, including 1,357 people (407 women and 692 children) who left Lebanon for Syria via the Jaydet-Yabus, Talkalakh and Zemrani CPs [crossing points], and 581 people (174 women and 296 children) from Jordan via the Nasib CP," the center said in its daily bulletin.
A total of 215 internally displaced Syrians returned to their homes over the given period.
The center added that Syrian army engineers had cleared mines across 8,1 hectares ( 20 acres) of land, destroying 33 explosives, including one improvised explosive device.
The center also added that Russia's Chechen Republic's Akhmad Kadyrov Foundation had distributed a tonne of bread and 1,000 clothing items to people in Aleppo.
