A British Airways flight destined for Germany's Dusseldorf mistakenly landed on Monday in Scotland's Edinburgh, as an incorrect flight plan was submitted to pilots by an operator, media reported
The Financial Times newspaper reported that the flight from London City airport was operated by Germany's WDL Aviation.
The operator mixed up the flight plans, and the pilots realized that there was a mistake only after the plane landed in Edinburgh.
The newspaper noted that the flight was then redirected to Dusseldorf.
British Airways stressed that it was working with WDL to establish reasons for the mistake and apologized to customers for the incident, according to the news outlet. WDL has not commented on the situation so far.
