ROME (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th August, 2018) The death toll in the collapse of a highway bridge in Italy's city of Genoa has increased to 41, rescue services said Saturday.
On Thursday, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said that 38 people had died in the bridge collapse.
A car with a family of three was found under the debris, according to the rescue teams.
Ten injured are in hospitals, with nine of them in grave condition. Two people are considered missing, according to the authorities.
A large section of Ponte Morandi collapsed on Tuesday, with several dozen cars falling either into the Polcevera river or onto the railroad tracks and warehouses under the bridge.
