Grenade Attack In Prayer Hall In Northwestern India Kills 3 People, Injures 10 - Reports

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th November, 2018) A grenade attack in a prayer hall in the northwestern Indian state of Punjab has claimed the lives of three people, leaving ten others injured, local media reported on Sunday, citing local police.
The NDTV channel reported that the attack was carried out in Rajasansi village located in the vicinity of the city of Armitsat, not far from the local airport.
Two men, whose faces were covered, threw a grenade at the Nirankari Bhawan prayer hall, where around 500 people were present, and fled on their motorcycle.
According to the NDTV, the attack was carried out amid a high alert in Punjab over six or seven suspected terrorists having entered the state.
Those injured have been taken to hospital.
The police are currently investigating the incident.
