
Kebab Shop Owner Spoiled Robbery

New Zealand, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th July, 2016) : An Egyptian kebab shop owner has created a swirl on internet when his video of ignoring an armed robber and keep-on serving a customer went viral, attracting more than a quarter of a million user’s attention.
Ahmed, owner of the Egyptian Kebab House in Christchurch, said it was a simple reaction to overlook the shrouded man, who walked into his restaurant and required cash while holding a gun on May 28.
Ahmed, 55, who has run his kebab shop for 15 years, keep-on packing an order and handed it to a customer before leaving the counter to call the police, resulted to fail robber’s attempt and he left empty handed.
Canterbury Police posted CCTV footage of the episode on Facebook last week, attempting to identify the robber. The short clip has since drawn 255,000 views. Ahmed was nick name as the “chillest chip shop operator” by social media.
He said that he was only thinking of his family and thought walking away would avoid a more serious result. He told New Zealand media, “I’m not a hero but, you know, I controlled my reaction, quite lucky because that reaction come to my head in that moment.”
