Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Wednesday commented on new accusations against Russia of another poisoning in the UK city of Salisbury, calling them absurd.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th September, 2018) Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Wednesday commented on new accusations against Russia of another poisoning in the UK city of Salisbury, calling them absurd.
On September 16, a man and a woman suddenly felt sick at the Prezzo restaurant in downtown Salisbury. The UK media speculated that "at least one" of the victims was Russian.
However, the Russian Embassy in London said the UK authorities failed to provide it with any data proving the claim. Salisbury police later confirmed, citing tests results, that the individuals "were not exposed to any kind of nerve agent."
"To be honest, I do not think that there is a point to comment on such news. The absurdity of most of the information coming from Salisbury is absolutely clear," Peskov told reporters asked to comment on the issue.
