MEXICO CITY (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 24th January, 2019) Mexico has not changed its policy on Venezuela and still recognizes its government, spokesman for the Mexican president Jesus Ramirez Cuevas said Wednesday.
"The Mexican government is analyzing the situation in Venezuela.
So far, there is no change in its diplomatic relations with the country or with its government," he tweeted.
In a televised speech, Ramirez said Mexico would remain neutral and urged all stakeholders to dialogue. He admitted that Mexico saw Nicolas Maduro as Venezuela's president.
Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido, the head of the National Assembly, has announced at a mass protest in Caracas he had assumed executive powers as interim president.
