NATO Member Spain To Take Part In Army-2018 Military Forum In Russia - Official

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th August, 2018) Spain is one of the NATO member states that will send its representatives to the upcoming defense industry forum Army-2018 in Russia, the head of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) told Sputnik on Sunday.
"Germany and Spain have sent their representatives to the forum. They will participate at such level that they were authorized to, although, perhaps, they would like to have a wider [form of participation], " Dmitry Shugaev said.
Over a 1,000 organizations have confirmed their participation in the event, while the number of showpieces would stand at 26,000, twice as much as in 2017, according to the official.
"It is important to note that this year the �Army � will have eight national expositions from Armenia, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Slovakia and Turkey. Military officials and attaches, experts from 96 countries have confirmed their participation, with about 20 countries represented at the level of defense ministers," Shugaev underlined.
The Army-2018 international military-technical forum will take place on August 21-26 on the grounds of the Patriot exhibition center in Kubinka, the Moscow Region. The event will be held for the fourth time and will feature a scientific and business program, as well as an exhibition showcasing the latest hi-tech military achievements.
