OPEC Elects Venezuela As Oganization's President For 2019 - Press Release

The Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) elected Venezuelan Petroleum Minister Manuel Quevedo as the president of the OPEC Conference for 2019, while Algerian Energy Minister Mustapha Guitouni was elected as the alternate president, the organization's press release said Friday.
"The Conference elected HE Manuel Salvador Quevedo Fernandez, People's Minister of Petroleum of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela as President of the Conference for one year, with effect from 01 January 2019, and HE Mustapha Guitouni, Algeria's Minister of Energy as Alternate President, for the same period," the press release read.
