Over 30% Of Ukrainians Working In Poland Say Have Problems Because Of Nationality - Poll

Around a third of Ukrainian migrants working in Poland have experienced problems because of their nationality, including receiving less money for their work, a poll conducted by the EWL S.A employment agency revealed on Monday.
WARSAW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 27th August, 2018) Around a third of Ukrainian migrants working in Poland have experienced problems because of their nationality, including receiving less money for their work, a poll conducted by the EWL S.A employment agency revealed on Monday.
According to the results of the poll, almost 32 percent of the respondents said they had faced "negative attitude to their nationality," with over half the respondents saying that they were "picked on" on ethnic grounds. Another 30 percent of the respondents said that they received "smaller remuneration" for their work.
Just over 7 percent of the Ukrainians, who took part in the poll admitted that they had hard times finding accommodation because of their nationality.
The poll was conducted among a total of 900 Ukrainian migrants, who are working or seeking employment in Poland. It did not cover well-paid Ukrainian migrants working, for example, as top managers or programmers. According to various estimates, from one to 1.5 million Ukrainians are currently working in Poland.
