Presidents of South, North Korea Watch Art Performance in Pyongyang - Reports

South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, accompanied by their wives, watched on Tuesday an art performance in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang, local media reported.

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th September, 2018) South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, accompanied by their wives, watched on Tuesday an art performance in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang, local media reported.

Earlier in the day, the South Korean delegation, comprising 150 people and headed by Moon, arrived in Pyongyang.

The leaders visited the Pyongyang Grand Theater where the Samjiyon Orchestra staged a concert, the Yonhap news agency reported.

Kim reportedly arrived at the theater first and waited for the South Korean guests.

The situation on the Korean Peninsula has significantly improved over the past few months, with Kim and Moon having held two bilateral meetings in April and May. In June, Kim also reached an agreement with US President Donald Trump, stipulating that North Korea would make efforts to promote complete denuclearization of the peninsula in exchange for US-South Korean military drills' freeze and a potential removal of US sanctions.
