Russia-Venezuela Defense Cooperation To Be Halted If Maduro Ousted - Russian Lawmaker

The defense cooperation between Russia and Venezuela may be suspended if Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is overthrown amid nationwide anti-government protests raging in Venezuela, Frants Klintsevich, a member of the Russian upper house's defense and security committee, told Sputnik Thursday

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 24th January, 2019) The defense cooperation between Russia and Venezuela may be suspended if Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is overthrown amid nationwide anti-government protests raging in Venezuela, Frants Klintsevich, a member of the Russian upper house's defense and security committee, told Sputnik Thursday.

"The United States is conducting a real act of aggression in Venezuela, using terrorist methods to change power and to promote a puppet government acceptable to the US. Of course, if legitimately elected Maduro is overthrown, the defense cooperation will be minimized," Klintsevich said.
