Russian Government to Allocate Over $15Bln for Export Support - Trade Minister

The Russian government plans to allocate around one trillion rubles (over $15 billion) to support the country's export activities within a framework of a national project dubbed "International Cooperation and Export," Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov said Monday.

NIZHNY NOVGOROD (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 10th December, 2018) The Russian government plans to allocate around one trillion rubles (over $15 billion) to support the country's export activities within a framework of a national project dubbed "International Cooperation and Export," Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov said Monday.

"A financial project worth about one trillion rubles has been agreed on for [a period for] six years. More precisely, 956 billion rubles. The basic framework of the project is set. However, the methodology has not been approved yet," Manturov said during the First Coordinating Council for Industrial Development in Nizhny Novgorod.

Manturov added that the goal of the government was to ensure at least $250 billion of non-energy exports by 2024.

On December 10, the First Coordinating Council for Industrial Development took place in the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod. Among the participants of the council were representatives of all Russian regions, foreign trade representatives and heads of industrial enterprises.
