Russian Prime Minister Meets With Papua New Guinea's Counterpart At APEC Summit

PORT MORESBY (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 17th November, 2018) Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev held a meeting with Peter O'Neill, his counterpart from Papua New Guinea, on the sidelines of the ongoing APEC Summit which the nation is hosting, a Sputnik correspondent reported on Saturday.
"It is a big event for Papua New Guinea. Thank you very much for your hospitality and a great atmosphere.
The agenda is very intense but we are now having an opportunity to exchange views on how to develop ties and contacts between Russia and Papua New Guinea," Medvedev told O'Neill.
O'Neil, in his turn, thanked Medvedev for coming and helping to solve logistics issues related to holding of the large international forum.
Russia has helped deliver airport equipment to Papua New Guinea.
The two-day summit kicked off in Port Moresby earlier on Saturday. Medvedev heads the Russian delegation at the event.
