Russia's Military Drills With Partner-Countries Bear Defensive Nature - Defense Ministry

CO member-states are defensive in nature and are not directed against third countries, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Col. Gen. Alexander Fomin said Tuesday.
"All these joint events, exercises are not directed against any third countries, they are absolutely defensive in nature and are aimed at ensuring the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Russia and its allies," Fomin said at a meeting with participants of the BaltArtek international educational forum in the Kaliningrad region.

Gen. Alexander Fomin said Tuesday.
"All these joint events, exercises are not directed against any third countries, they are absolutely defensive in nature and are aimed at ensuring the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Russia and its allies," Fomin said at a meeting with participants of the BaltArtek international educational forum in the Kaliningrad region.
"This is an adequate and proportionate reaction to those actions that today, unfortunately, are taken by NATO, which steps up its military activities at the Russian borders," Fomin stressed.
