SEOUL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jul, 2018 ) :S.Korean President Moon Jae-in on Friday ordered the government to quickly come up with new special measures aimed at preventing child abuse at day care centers, the presidential office Cheong Wa Dae said.
The order follows a series of incidents where two young children died from violence or negligence.
"The president noted the government earlier came up with some measures, such as installing CCTV cameras at day care centers, following similar incidents in the past, but that such measures have proven to be ineffective," Cheong Wa Dae spokesman Kim Eui-kyeom told a daily briefing.
Moon told the Ministry of Health and Welfare to come up with measures that will completely prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
The president also asked such measures be prepared for review at a Cabinet meeting next week, the spokesman added.
The move comes after a 4-year-old girl was found dead after being left on her kindergarten bus.
