Syria Militants Attacks Two Villages, Injure Soldier - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st January, 2019) Militants have fired at two villages in Syria's western Latakia and Hama provinces, injuring a government soldier, an officer in charge of Russia's Center for Syrian Reconciliation said Sunday.
"Over the past day militants have attacked Nahshabba in Latakia province and Zalaqiyat, Hama province, in the Idlib de-escalation zone. As a result of the attack at Eyn-al-Naur in Latakia province one Syrian serviceman was wounded," Lt. Gen. Sergei Solomatin told reporters.
Separately, he said Syrian refugees were coming home through ten checkpoints, including at the Damascus airport and in the port city of Baniyas,. He put the number of returnees at 217,873, as of Saturday.
