Three Of Wounded In Kerch College Attack In Coma - Russian Health Minister

KERCH (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th October, 2018) Three people, injured in the attack on a college in the city of Kerch in Crimea are in a coma, Russian Healthcare Minister Veronika Skvortsova said on Wednesday, adding that 10 of those wounded were receiving treatment in intensive care.
The majority of those injured in the attack were received by a Kerch hospital with wounds to their limbs, while six of those injured have been transported to the city of Simferopol, the minister told reporters after arriving in Kerch.
"Five people are being prepared for the evacuation and five people are in very serious condition. They are in critical condition and they are not stable yet. Three of them are in a grave coma after surviving several cardiac arrests. They have all undergone surgeries over severe wounds to their limbs and organs," Skvortsova said.
"The most severely wounded people, ten people, are in intensive care. Five of them are stable. All of them have undergone surgeries," the minister added.
The medics are currently working to stabilize the patients' condition to make them able for being transported to leading Moscow clinics by morning, Skvortsova pointed out.
According to latest reports, the death toll in the Wednesday attack by a college student, who used a licensed shotgun to shoot at fellow students, and detonated an explosive device in the college building, stands at 19 with up to 50 wounded. The body of the suspected attacker with a gunshot wound was later found in one of the rooms in the college
