Trump Administration Not Allowed to Enforce Asylum Ban While Case Proceeds - Supreme Court

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd December, 2018) The Trump administration will not be allowed to enforce its new policy of denying asylum to those who cross the US-Mexico border illegally while the case moves through the courts, the US Supreme Court said in an order on Friday.

"The application for stay presented to Justice Kagan and by her referred to the Court is denied. Justice Thomas, Justice Alito, Justice Gorsuch, and Justice Kavanaugh would grant the application for stay," the order said.
