US, Japan Defense Ministers Agree to Boost Cooperation in Space - Pentagon

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 17th January, 2019) The government defense chiefs of the United States and Japan agreed at a Pentagon meeting to boost their cooperation on information, space and cyber security, Pentagon Spokesperson Charles Summers said in a press release.

Shanahan and Iwaya also reaffirmed the long-standing defense relationship as the cornerstone of regional security policy, the readout said.

Shanahan also said looked forward to working closely with Iwaya to strengthen the US-Japan Alliance and to ensure peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region and around the world, the readout added.
