Aga Khan University Examination Board is a Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education set up by Aga Khan University in light of demand from schools for increasingly proper school examinations. AKU-EB was established in August 2003 as per Ordinance CXIV of the Government of Pakistan to offer examination administrations for both Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) all through Pakistan and abroad. It offers its capabilities both in Urdu and English medium. AKU-EB's primary objective is to improve the nature of education by making examinations of legitimate standard progressively open to Pakistani students and having them progressively esteemed by driving advanced education foundations in and outside the nation. In seeking after its educational goals, AKU-EB will:

  • Give smooth 5th, 8th, SSC and HSSC examinations for both English and Urdu-medium schools;
  • Train educators and create advantageous learning materials in the help of the National Curriculum for secondary and higher secondary education;
  • Create an ability in educational evaluation and testing in Pakistan.
