ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 05th May, 2019) The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, DCT Abu Dhabi, is set to lead a delegation of a number of tourism stakeholders to ITB China, a new trade show taking place in Shanghai next month.
The delegation, which will include representatives from tour operators, hotels, heritage and cultural attractions, and destination management companies, will attend the travel exhibition from 15th to 17th May to showcase the best of what Abu Dhabi has to offer to the Chinese market.
Among those represented will be Louvre Abu Dhabi, Emirates Palace Hotel, Yas Marina Circuit, Experience Hub and Etihad Airways, the UAE’s national carrier.
ITB China is a new B2B travel exhibition that exclusively focusses on the Chinese travel market. More than 850 leading buyers from the Greater China region will participate to network and maximise business opportunities with overseas partners.
"We are very much looking forward to attending ITB China in Shanghai," said Saeed Rashed Al Saeed, Destination Marketing Director of DCT Abu Dhabi.
"One of our goals in 2019 is to continue to engage and strengthen our relationships with the Chinese travel trade and ITB China provides us with an ideal platform to achieve this.
"Additionally, we want to underline Abu Dhabi as a premier tourism destination for travellers, especially those from China, and we are keen to expand our network of Chinese partners in order to ensure that Abu Dhabi is known as an extraordinary destination."
DCT Abu Dhabi’s presence at ITB China is part of the drive to increase the record number of visitors from China who visited Abu Dhabi last year. In 2018, China was one of the regions that posted significant growth for numbers of hotel guests, alongside India and the USA.
The event will see international exhibitors of all sectors from the travel industry showcase their products, from the globe’s leading travel companies and emerging small and medium-sized enterprises to top international buyers from the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions, MICE, leisure and corporate travel markets.
