49th Meeting Of GCU Syndicate Committee Held

FAISALABAD, June 5 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Jun, 2017 ) : The 49th meeting of syndicate committee of Govt College University Faisalabad was held here on Monday. Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali presided over the meeting during which approval was accorded of different matters.
Syndicate members MPA Mian Muhammad Rafique, Haji Ilyas Ansari, Vice-chancellors Dr Qaisar Mushtaq, Dr Zia ul Quyyum, Deans Dr Hamyun Abbas, Dr Ferhat Abbas and others were present on the occasion.
The meeting stands by the decision of the punishment of stoppage of three increments for five years of Dr Laeque Ahmed of Zoology Department. The meeting approved increase in salaries and budget according to government policy.
An inquiry was ordered against Dr Nasir Rasool and Dr Hamyun Abbas under PEEDA Act. Dr Tayyba Sultana will be head of inquiry committee. The committee appointed Prof Dr Shams ul Rehman, a new head of Islamiat department.
