AJK DWP Reviews Execution Of 22 Mass Public Welfare Projects

The AJK Development Working Party (AKDWP) in its 4th meeting reviewed execution of 22 projects relating to Higher Education, Health, Forests / Wildlife & Fisheries Physical Planning & Housing
MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Oct, 2017 ) , :The AJK Development Working Party (AKDWP) in its 4th meeting reviewed execution of 22 projects relating to Higher education, Health, Forests / Wildlife & Fisheries Physical Planning & Housing, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Development Authorities, Social Welfare, State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA), Industries, Agriculture / Livestock and Communication & Works sectors, costing over Rs 5.3 billion.
The forum's meeting for the financial year 2017-18 was held under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary (Development) Azad Jammu and Kashmir late Tuesday. The significant projects came under discussion in the meeting included the Construction of Buildings, Provision of Furniture and equipment for Girls Inter College Kel, Family Planning and Primary Health Care Program of AJ&K, Reconditioning of Internal roads of Govt.
residential area Jalalabad including DHQ and New Secretariat Muzaffarabad, Construction of Internal Streets in different sectors of Mirpur City, Beautification of Kotli City, Drug Addicts Rehabilitation Centre at Rawalakot and Mirpur, Establishment of the Bomb Disposal Service at six Sub-Divisions located at Line of Control (LoC), Poverty Reduction through establishment of Production Units in AJ&K, Construction of two suspension bridges at District Neelum and a pre-stressed RCC bridge at Balwara Bhimber, Up-gradation and reconditioning of Bhimber-Samahni road and Kot Jamel-Iftikharabad road Bhimber, Improvement in metal filing and black topping of link roads phase-VII in District Bagh, Hazard Mapping & Landslide Treatment along Major roads in AJ&K and Feasibility study for establishment of Special Economic Zone at Mirpur.
