PESHAWAR, Jan 2 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Jan, 2017 ) : Awami National Party (ANP) City District President Malik Ghulam Mustafa on Monday said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would be a source of development in Pakistan besides a key for solidarity of the country.
He said that previous governments intentionally and unintentionally kept the western areas backward despite the fact that these areas were rich in natural resources including gas, oil and mineral resources.
He said that unrest and law and order situation in these areas created sense of deprivation among the people, adding that the CPEC project would surely address these deprivations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
He said that if the CPEC project would be executed as per the commitments of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif the federating units would further come closer and equal opportunities of development in all the provinces would usher in new era of prosperity and peace. He urged the government to give equal share to all provinces in CPEC for lasting peace, harmony and unity in the country.
